Tom Witt

Tom Witt is a Minneapolis-based keyboardist, worship leader, songleader and worship planner. Tom co-founded (along with Mary Preus) the ensemble Bread for the Journey, which was committed to encouraging congregational singing, sharing music with theological integrity, and helping music ministers to inspire the community’s song and serve the community’s prayer. Tom has been a worship consultant for ELCA Global Mission, and has served on the worship staff at United Seminary of the Twin Cities, and Luther Seminary in St. Paul. He recently served as the Worship Coordinator for the Lutheran World Federation’s Thirteenth Assembly, in Krakow, Poland. Tom first came to Holden in 1962 when he was five years old.

      Education

      Holden Village is a community where your questions are valued and encouraged. Most programs led by visiting teaching faculty occur during the summer months. However, Holden also invites faculty to teach sessions for special events and retreats throughout the rest of the year.
