Paul Griffith

Paul Griffith has been captivated by photography from the moment he picked up his dad’s Nikon in 7th grade. He read the manual cover-to-cover, and threw himself headlong into his newfound art. Four decades later, Paul is an award-winning photographer who has grown in his craft and remains as committed as ever in pursuing the ultimately impossible task of capturing the depths of human emotion “through the lens.” While he enjoys various forms of photography, astrophotography is one he’s particularly passionate about practicing and teaching. This passion and practice has resulted in Paul being placed in the top 10 in a recent international Astrophotography competition. Paul is also a full-time theologian, and finds astrophotography to be a powerful and humbling way to encounter the Divine. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Kamala, and his kids, Landon and Lily.
