Krista Gemmell Harris

Krista Gemmell Harris, B.S and M.F.A. in Dance, is a delightful dance artist-teacher and Regional InterPlay leader who, at age 75, continues to invite people to discover the joy of moving and of being bodies. Krista was instrumental in creating a thriving InterPlay community in Seattle, Washington and has continued to tend its hearth for over 30 years, as leader, mentor, and former regional administrator.  Authentic Movement, Insight Meditation and Shibashi QiGong have also informed and enriched her life and movement work for decades. Krista is delighted to be co-presenting with Marla Durden at Holden Village!

SESSION DESCRIPTION

Within each of us, there is a magical spark of connection and unbridled creativity. It remembers who it is with child-like wonder and holy innocence. Join us in Magical You: Remembering who you are through play and connection, as we play, move, journal, and journey together into the realms of magic within, where anything is possible. It is here that we remember our connection to Nature, Subtle Realms and each other.

Nurturing the magic inherent in our human form, we will incorporate the embodied wisdom practices of InterPlay and connect with our sacred birthrights of movement, story, song and silence.

Holden Village is a community where your questions are valued and encouraged. Most programs led by visiting teaching faculty occur during the summer months. However, Holden also invites faculty to teach sessions for special events and retreats throughout the rest of the year.
